Aichariya live-streamed accusations that a certain boxing camp chief frequently fixed matches, receiving 10 million baht in two months.
On 1 Jan 2026 GMT+7, a major development in Thai boxing emerged when Mr. Aichariya Ruangrattanapong, chairman of the Crime Victims Assistance Club, took to social media for a live broadcast exposing current match-fixing schemes.
Aichariya revealed that one individual has persistently fixed matches, earning over 10 million baht in the past two months. When caught, he repeatedly denied knowledge, claiming ignorance.
“Match-fixing has occurred frequently at Rajadamnern Stadium and many places in Thailand, including Channel 7 and Om Noi. This camp regularly takes fighters to fix matches with the collusion of some referees and promoters, who profit significantly. This camp chief has fixed matches at Tawanna Stadium, Channel 7, and Om Noi repeatedly over the past month, fixing three matches. People like this should have no place because they bring ruin to boxing. He is even a former government official who deliberately fixed fights.”
Aichariya added that despite being a former official, the individual shamelessly denies involvement when caught. He said this person runs match-fixing as a profession and had proposed to the Petchyindee fight promotion to hold matches at Rangsit, offering to cover fighters’ fees for four bouts, but promoters refused because this individual is dangerous to the boxing community. He has been arranging bouts continuously for two months and earned over 10 million baht from fixing matches as a profession.
Going forward, it remains to be seen how the match-fixing syndicate will be dealt with.
