Brazil Ekmuangnon admits he is the person in the news and apologizes to all the team members involved.
On 19 Feb 2026 GMT+7, developments in the Thai boxing world sparked widespread discussion on social media after a Facebook user named Darin Da Ri Nin posted that a Thai boxer who had fought in ONE Championship borrowed money from her and did not repay it, leaving uncertainty about his future career.
"A ONE Championship boxer borrowed money from a woman and hasn't returned it. He messages me every day with insults. It's funny—will he rise or fall? Let's wait and see."
Recently, the boxer in question was revealed to be Brazil Ekmuangnon, who issued an apology to all involved and shared evidence of a close relationship with the woman concerned.
"The social media buzz is about me. I want to apologize to the Petchnumnoi team, Uncle Ek Muangnon, and everyone who has supported me throughout, for causing this issue."
"I want to explain from my personal perspective that I have known her (Dxxxx) for quite some time."
"Our close relationship began around February last year (see Image 1). We went places together until we broke up or stopped talking. We last met this past Tuesday (see Images 2–4)."
"Regarding our chat messages, it's not unusual for people in a close relationship to talk like that. However, I admit there may have been some inappropriate messages. I accept that. I apologize if the chats were shown in a negative light."
"Regarding the money issue, this was not a loan. For example, she paid for snacks at 7-Eleven when we were together. After we broke up, she started demanding repayment. I transferred the money back before she made the post."
"In her post, she shared messages where I said, ‘It's just a small amount; others would understand.’ The amount was only 311 baht (see Image 5). I believe people who once had a good relationship shouldn’t have issues over such a small sum. Before she contacted my father to demand 500 baht (see Image 6), a dispute arose between us. To end it and the relationship, I repaid the money, which led to the social media issue. She later edited the messages she had shared (see Image 7)."
"I do not blame anyone because I also bear some responsibility. Regardless of any misunderstandings, I hope you consider my side. I sincerely apologize once again."
