On 3 Mar 2026 GMT+7, to support Thai farmers, Buakaw Banchamek, a famous Thai boxer, decided to purchase a coconut farm directly from farmers after they faced an extreme price collapse caused by price suppression and unfair market mechanisms. He committed to buying at fair prices and delivering directly to consumers without intermediaries.
Buakaw Banchamek stated, "I have seen our farming brothers and sisters sweating heavily but suffering because coconut prices have been manipulated to unprofitable levels. As a fellow Thai, I cannot stand by silently. This inspired the idea of 'Sack to Save the Nation': one sack per household, delivering quality aromatic coconuts straight from the farm to your doorstep. I want this project to be a voice urging the government and private sectors to seriously recognize the importance of Thai agricultural products."
Additionally, Buakaw Banchamek said this is not merely a business matter but a demonstration that Thais do not abandon each other in difficult times. Unity is the only way to overcome the economic crisis, and he encourages everyone to join in supporting Thai farmers.
