
Kao-Chaiyanong and Dan-Sirisap won the championships at the KATPRO Professional Kickboxing event.
Thai fighters showcased excellent form as Kao-Chaiyanong Yawanopas, gold medalist in the World Kickboxing Championship, defeated fellow Thai Pongsakorn Panya at the KATPRO Professional Kickboxing event. Similarly, Dan-Sirisap Longpimai won on points against S.A. Boonchuay Ponsungnoen.
The “KATPRO PROFESSIONAL KICKBOXING” event, Thailand's first full professional kickboxing stage, was held at Sports Hall 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan). The ceremony was officially opened by Air Force Woman Officer Thira Boonyanee Kittikorn, Secretary-General of the Kickboxing Sports Association of Thailand.
This competition featured a total of seven bouts with athletes from over 10 countries worldwide, including Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Israel, Estonia, and Thailand.
Air Force Woman Officer Thira Boonyanee Kittikorn, Secretary-General of the Kickboxing Sports Association of Thailand, stated that this event marks another success for the association in elevating Thailand’s role as an international host, delivering a fully professional-level competition focused on meeting global standards.
This is a significant step forward for Thai kickboxing, enhancing development with excellent competition organization, safety, and professional management to provide a quality platform for Thai athletes to showcase their abilities and compete internationally.
The atmosphere during the seven intense bouts was lively, further energized by a mini concert from Hugo Chulachak Chakrabongse, entertaining the audience and creating an exciting and memorable event.
The first match in the men’s 60 kg category featured Thai athletes Pongsakorn Panya and Kao-Chaiyanong Yawanopas, gold medalist at the 2025 Hungarian Kickboxing World Cup. Kao-Chaiyanong won by a 2-1 points decision to claim the championship.
In the second bout, men’s 68 kg, Abutali Ali from Kazakhstan defeated Azerbaijan’s Sorab Azimov by a 3-0 points decision.
The third match, men’s 75 kg, saw Abror Kakimov from Kyrgyzstan win by knockout against Nodir Khariddinov from Uzbekistan.
In the women’s 52 kg category, Alexandra Jikaeva from Estonia defeated Thai athlete Naruk Numprathep by a 3-0 points decision.
The fifth bout, men’s 67 kg, ended with Fakhriddin Eminov from Uzbekistan knocking out Sohar Hayut from Israel.
In the men’s 81 kg category, Abror Musayev from Uzbekistan won on points 3-0 against Askherov Nurlan from Kazakhstan.
The seventh match, men’s 68 kg, featured Dan-Sirisap Longpimai, bronze medalist at the Uzbekistan World Cup, defeating S.A. Boonchuay Ponsungnoen, silver medalist at the 2025 World Kickboxing Championship, by a 3-0 points decision.
