Family background: Rodtang is the eighth child among ten siblings in a poor family whose parents worked as rubber tappers. As a child, he was introverted and often avoided fights. He trained at a small gym in his hometown of Phatthalung and began boxing at age 7.

He first stepped into a southern boxing ring at age 10 under the name “Rodtang Kiatchuchai.” Motivated by the ability to earn money and ease his family’s burdens, he pursued fighting seriously. Later, he moved to the Jitmuangnon camp under the guidance of “Auan Muangnon” and “Mae Ae” Suntaree Lohapheet, who became like a second family to him.

Rodtang’s fighting style is aggressive and relentless, never backing down, which earned him the nickname “The Iron Man.” He became a superstar and one of the highest-paid fighters in Muay Thai history, commanding purses of 10 to 17 million baht per fight. His successes span across his fighting career.

He has won multiple titles including the ONE Championship Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship, which he has defended several times; the Thailand Super Featherweight (130 lbs) Championship; the Siam Omnoi Stadium 130 lbs Championship; two-time Siam Omnoi Stadium Champion; and boasts over 250 wins before turning 21.

Today, Rodtang Jitmuangnon is not only a top Muay Thai fighter in Thailand but also internationally recognized. He is acquainted with Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder and CEO of Meta (Facebook). In his personal life, he married Aida Luksai Kongdin (Kulnatt Yuhangor), a well-known female fighter, in early 2023.
