The four warriors advancing to the semifinals of the 25th "Poonsuea True Muay Thai Tournament" have been revealed. Monkhao Cementdee will face Thailand S. Rungsak, while Muangchang S. Dechapant will battle Hastdee Teenoi Kachin in a fierce showdown on 13 Sep at the Channel 7 HD boxing stadium.
The 25th Poonsuea True Muay Thai Tournament at Channel 7 HD Stadium on 9 Aug featured the final round of the last eight from Groups A and B. Before the matches, Mr. Jamorn Lekakul (Poonsuea representative) honored the fighters by placing garlands on them for encouragement. In the first match of Group A, Yodkan Chang Nakhon Si (red corner) faced Monkhao Cementdee (blue corner), both at 116 pounds. The second match from Group B featured Muangchang S. Dechapant (red corner) versus Muangthong S. Phong-Amorn (blue corner), also at 116 pounds.
In the first Group A match, Yodkan Chang Nakhon Si fought Monkhao Cementdee. Yodkan, a tall orthodox fighter with strong inside knees, faced Monkhao, a shorter southpaw with heavy punches. Monkhao aggressively jabbed to the body, unsettling Yodkan. Yodkan responded with right kicks and punches combined with clinch knees but without clear effectiveness. Late in the second round, Yodkan landed a left elbow causing a bleeding cut over Monkhao's right eyebrow. Despite this, Monkhao continued attacking the body with punches and left pushes, forcing Yodkan to roll and fall. In the fourth round, Monkhao unleashed strong punches both high and low, causing Yodkan to drop and be counted out. Monkhao won by TKO in the 4th round and advanced to the semifinals, while Yodkan was eliminated.
In the second Group B match, Muangchang S. Dechapant faced Phet Muangthong S. Phong-Amorn. Both are tall southpaw fighters with strong inside knees. Muangchang pressed forward with left kicks to the body and neck, causing Phet Muangthong to fall and be counted to eight but continue fighting. Early in the second round, Muangchang combined left kicks and punches in rapid succession, knocking Phet Muangthong down flat, leading to a 10-count. Muangchang won by TKO in the 2nd round.
After the matches, a draw ceremony for the semifinals of the 25th "Poonsuea True Muay Thai Tournament" was held. Mr. Jamorn Lekakul (Poonsuea representative) and Mr. Peeraphong Theeradetchapong (known as Hia Choon) witnessed the draw. The results showed Monkhao Cementdee will face Thailand S. Rungsak, and Muangchang S. Dechapant will face Hastdee Teenoi Kachin in the decisive bouts to determine who will become the 25th champion tiger.
The semifinals of the 25th Poonsuea True Muay Thai Tournament will take place on Sunday, 13 Sep 2026. The event promises intense battles for Muay Thai fans both Thai and international. The matches will be broadcast live from Channel 7 HD Stadium on Channel 7 HD starting at 14:30.
