"Thailand" faces off fiercely against "Muangchang" in the final of the 25th True Muay Thai Puensang Tiger Cement Tournament on Sunday, 8 Nov at Channel 7HD boxing stadium.
The 25th True Muay Thai Puensang Tiger Cement Tournament reached the semifinals last Sunday at Channel 7HD boxing stadium. Before the fights, Mr. Rungroj Rungrojsoontorn, Marketing Director of Cement and Mortar Products, Construction Materials and Products Company Limited, honored the occasion by placing garlands to encourage the fighters in both matches. The first match was between Monkhaw Cementdee (red) and Thailand S. Rungsak (blue) at 112 pounds, and the second between Hasadee Teenoi Kachin (red) and Muangchang S. Dechapun (blue), also at 112 pounds.
In the first bout, Monkhaw Cementdee fought Thailand S. Rungsak. Monkhaw was short with a strong left hook aiming for a knockout, while Thailand was taller with strong inside knees, both southpaws. Monkhaw moved quickly, throwing tight punches trying to knock out Thailand, who countered with strong left kicks to the body and pushes that made Monkhaw fall awkwardly. Despite Monkhaw continuing with left kicks and punches, his attacks were unclear and he was countered by Thailand’s precise left kicks to the body and neck, causing him to stagger. In mid-second round, Thailand landed a right elbow to Monkhaw’s left eyebrow causing heavy bleeding. Monkhaw kept punching but narrowly missed and was pushed down again by Thailand’s kicks. After the rounds, Thailand won by a wide points margin to advance to the final, while Monkhaw moved on to the third-place bout.
In the second bout, Hasadee Teenoi Kachin faced Muangchang S. Dechapun. Hasadee showed more experience and skill, while Muangchang was tall with strong inside knees, delivering left kicks to the body and punches. Hasadee aggressively moved in to punch, but without clear success until early in the second round when the fight ended quickly. As Hasadee advanced with punches and left kicks to the body, Muangchang timed a left hook to Hasadee’s chin, causing him to fall while standing and lose consciousness mid-air. Muangchang won by TKO in the second round, advancing to the final against Thailand. Hasadee will compete for third place against Monkhaw.
The final of the 25th True Muay Thai Puensang Tiger Cement Tournament will be held on Sunday, 8 Nov. The championship match will feature Thailand S. Rungsak against Muangchang S. Dechapun, both reaching the decisive stage. Fans can look forward to seeing who will claim the 25th Puensang Tiger Cement Muay Thai championship belt and become the next Tiger.
