
CPF Knockout lost the WBC Light Flyweight world title to a Japanese boxer.
On 16 March 2026, in a boxing match, CPF Knockout, the WBC Light Flyweight world champion, defended his title against Japanese challenger Shoki Iwata in Yokohama, Japan, but lost by technical decision.
The bout was fierce, and in the 4th round, Knockout suffered a cut above his left eyebrow after taking a solid right hook punch.
He continued to be punched repeatedly, prompting the referee to call for the ringside doctor to assess the injury risk, leading to the fight being stopped in the 8th round. Iwata was leading on all three judges' scorecards with scores of 79-73, 79-73, and 78-74, securing his victory and making him the new WBC Light Flyweight champion.
