On 27 Feb 2026, it was confirmed that Rodtang Jitmuangnon would face Takeru Segawa again for the interim ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Title in the event named ONE Samurai on 29 April at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
Looking back at their first encounter at ONE 172 on 23 March 2025 at Saitama Super Arena, Rodtang Jitmuangnon knocked out Takeru Segawa in just 1 minute 20 seconds of the first round. This rematch was confirmed following Takeru Segawa's knockout victory over Denis Purich at ONE 173 in November 2025.
Recently, Rodtang Jitmuangnon shared a brief message on his Facebook fan page, which has over 1.6 million followers, saying, "For the Thai fans, let's go fight abroad," amid excitement from Thai boxing fans eager to see this fighter return to the ring.
