
Thai fighter Rodtang Jitmuangnon recounted the seconds during the weigh-in before his showdown against Japanese boxer Takeru Segawa at the ONE Samurai event.
On 28 Apr 2026, “The Iron Man” Rodtang Jitmuangnon, a beloved Thai fighter, shared his feelings for the first time after passing the weigh-in. He is set to face Takeru Segawa, a top Japanese boxer and former K-1 champion, at ONE Samurai at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, tomorrow.
Rodtang read a fan’s comment asking, “You look stressed,” to which he replied, “Definitely stressed before making weight.” He added, “I woke up at 5:30 a.m. to cut weight, then trained until about 9 a.m. My coach advised me to reduce foods high in sodium and sugar but I could still drink soda. Thanks for all the support. I won’t miss the chance to bring victory back to Thailand.”
For “The Iron Man” Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the first weigh-in was successful at 134.8 pounds with odds at 1.0095. Meanwhile, Takeru Segawa weighed in at 134 pounds with odds of 1.0226, also passing on the first attempt. This sets up a rematch after their initial fight at ONE 172 on 23 Mar 2025, where Rodtang knocked out Takeru in the first round.
