Buakaw, who has never taught anyone before, passes on the Wai Khru ritual to Daniel, continuing the Muay Thai legacy.
Throughout his legendary career, Buakaw Banchamek has rarely been seen seriously teaching his unique Wai Khru technique, especially in one-on-one sessions. "Pee Buakaw" himself said he has never taught anyone this before in his life. This is therefore a rare glimpse of one of Thailand's most graceful Wai Khru practitioners.
Recently, a clip from the RWS page revealed a special moment when Buakaw openly shared his full Wai Khru technique with Daniel Rodriguez, the Rajadamnern super welterweight (154 lbs) champion. The footage reflects Daniel's dedication to continuing the tradition he has received, truly passing the Muay Thai legacy from generation to generation.
Muay Thai fans will soon see Daniel demonstrate the skills he learned from Buakaw in the ring. He is scheduled to defend his title against Petchmorakot Bangmadtong. Fans can look forward to seeing how beautifully Daniel conveys the Muay Thai spirit he inherited from Buakaw at Rajadamnern Stadium during the major Rajadamnern R80 Anniversary event on Saturday, 27 December.
