Northern Muay Thai Champions Head to Bangkok for MSC Semifinals at Rajadamnern

Northern regional representatives secured for all weight classes! Northern Muay Thai champions advance to Bangkok for the MSC Championship semifinals at Rajadamnern Stadium.


The Muay Thai competition "MSC Championship 2025" (MSC2025), organized by the Sports Authority of Thailand's Boxing Committee, has been ongoing with continuous matches. On 5 January, the Northern regional championship round was held at Gymnasium 3, Chiang Mai province, attracting a large crowd of Muay Thai fans. The event was honored by Mr. Somchai Poolsawat, chairman of the organizing committee, who presided over the competition.


The results of the Northern regional championship finals are summarized as follows.


Match 1, men’s 115-118 pounds: Chanakit Sit Nayok Phansak won by knockout over Phet Rungroj W. Suksan in the first round.

Match 2, women’s 105-112 pounds: Klinphaka P. Thaisong won by points over Phet Prachan S. Yingcharoengkarnchang.

Match 3, men’s 122-126 pounds: Phet Muang Fang S. Yingcharoengkarnchang won by knockout over Namcharoen Lanna Muay Thai in the fifth round.

Match 4, women’s 112-118 pounds: Jitti S.S. Chiang Mai won by points over Payak Ying S. Pho Dam.

Match 5, men’s 130-135 pounds: Phet Siam S. Phettrakunlao won by knockout over Chalermpol Sit Kru Thai in the third round.

Match 6, men’s 140-147 pounds: Phet Burapha Phetchomphu won by knockout over Theerakorn T20 NAN in the third round.


Additionally, three special bouts were included in the event.


Match 7, 117 pounds: Kong Meechai S. Bangrajan (W. Wannimit) won by points over Jomthong Lek Lanna Muay Thai.

Match 8, 127 pounds: Thapmongkol Chanchai Muay Thai won by points over Fai Phet Nakorn Kongjakrawan Muay Thai.

Match 9, 130 pounds: Singmongkol CMA Academy won by points over Fah Phet Theppakin.


The next competition will be the Southern regional final, held in Surat Thani province on 8 January 2026.


The Sports Authority of Thailand's Boxing Committee organizes the "MSC Championship 2025" to promote development across the seven categories of Muay Thai as defined by the Sports Boxing Act B.E. 2542 (1999). The event aims to establish standardized competition practices and provide a platform for emerging local Muay Thai athletes to enter professional sports and progress to international levels. The MSC 2025 runs from November 2025 to February 2026, featuring over 200 fighters nationwide competing in a knockout format across four regional zones: Northern zone at Chiang Mai Municipal Gymnasium, Central/Eastern/Western zone at Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Northeastern zone at Udon Thani Multipurpose Dome, and Southern zone at Kanjanadit Multipurpose Hall in Surat Thani.
