The 25th True Thai Boxing Tournament, Poonsuea, opened the new year on 25 Jan at Channel 7 HD Boxing Stadium with the Round A of the Round of 16. Before the fights, Mr. Jomron Lekakul, representing Poonsuea, honored the occasion by placing garlands on the fighters as a gesture of encouragement for both pairs on stage and gave the official opening speech. The first match featured Phetsingkorn S. Saman Garment against Ngaophet Golita Muay Thai at 116 pounds, followed by Muangchang S. Dechapant facing Hastdee Teenoi Kachin, also at 116 pounds.
In the first match, Phetsingkorn S. Saman Garment faced Ngaophet Golita Muay Thai. Midway through the first round, Phetsingkorn landed a solid right kick to Ngaophet's face and leg, causing Ngaophet to fall and be counted out by the referee, resulting in an easy first-round TKO victory for Phetsingkorn.
In the second match, Muangchang S. Dechapant fought Hastdee Teenoi Kachin in a left-handed versus left-handed bout.
