Amnat Former World Champion Reflects on Past Life Struggles and Shares Promise to Thai Boxing Fans

"Amnat Ruengroeng," a well-known former world champion, reflects on his past life challenges and reveals a promise he made to Thai boxing fans across the country.

On 18 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Amnat Ruengroeng, the famous former world champion, looked back on his past life struggles and shared the promise he made to Thai boxing fans nationwide. He traveled to teach boxing to children at Pa. Phat Muay Thai Gym, Kiatmuslim, Village No. 5, Surasak Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province. This return to coaching marks an important step for the former world champion, who hopes to use his ring experience to inspire youth and prove himself on a new life path once again.

The former world champion took on the role of sparring partner and taught boxing techniques, including fight strategy and traditional Thai boxing movements, closely to the young students. The atmosphere was friendly, and he showed determination and focus, unlike before when negative news about his personal life had frequently surfaced.

Ms. Tipwan Panthong, 49, the gym owner, revealed that Amnat is a local who often passed by the gym. She invited him to help teach boxing to the children, and he accepted, coming regularly for some time without asking for any payment. She said, "I am very pleased to have a former world champion sharing his experience with the kids. I hope he has turned over a new leaf and can start a fresh chapter in his life."

Meanwhile, Amnat Ruengroeng gave an interview, accompanied by Mr. Itthiphol Laisakul, 52, the gym's regular boxing coach, who added information: "I want to turn my life around after facing personal problems and family breakdowns that caused stress and past issues. Today, I am committed to teaching boxing to children without expecting anything in return. I ask for a chance from the boxing community to start anew. I promise to do my best and apologize to all Thai boxing fans for my past."
