Rambo Lek Chor Ajalaboon recalled the moments before he defeated Nabil Anan to seize the ONE Muay Thai World Bantamweight Championship belt successfully.
Following Rambo Lek Chor Ajalaboon's victory by decision over Nabil Anan to capture the ONE Muay Thai World Bantamweight Championship (135-145 lbs) at the ONE Lumpinee 147 event,
After the fight, Rambo Lek said, “I’m speechless. I’m so happy I can’t find words. It feels like a real dream. I got hit right on the head with a knee—I’m not sure if it caused a cut. I want to thank the fans. I’ve brought the championship home.”
“When I was first counted down, I heard the fans shouting ‘Rambo, Rambo.’ Then, going into the fourth round, I heard it again. That made me refuse to give up. Even though I was counted, I was determined not to miss my chance. I was going to make it happen.”
“I intended not to run away much, but honestly, I couldn’t match his power. He’s much bigger, so I fought defensively, using the style I’m comfortable with. I think there’s a chance I’ll meet Nabil again.”
“When I was first counted, I was focused, bent forward, and punched. I saw him moving forward—I didn’t expect the referee to count. But on the second count, I was sure I landed a punch. My hand hurt. I probably hit him on the eyebrow; it must have cut. At the first count, he didn’t show much reaction, but at the second, I wanted to finish the fight. Still, I was careful to protect myself.”
“When I was first counted, I thought he would charge me hard. But he didn’t really come forward much, so I just kept punching comfortably.”
“If there’s a rematch, I’ll prepare better and be stronger to hold him down. I’m speechless, very happy to have fought him today because he is the champion. As I said, I just wanted to borrow the championship for a while. He told me he’ll come to take it back.”
