A legendary Thai boxer has advised on how Rodtang Jitmuangnon can put an end to the drama with ONE Championship.
Following the lawsuit filed by ONE Championship against Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the famed Thai fighter and former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion, for multiple contract breaches, it is anticipated that ONE Championship will seek damages up to the highest amount of 20 million US dollars, approximately 641 million baht, in lawsuits filed across three countries: Thailand, Japan, and Singapore.
This figure is based on the estimated damage caused to the organization’s reputation due to Rodtang’s live streams, posted images and messages, as well as the controversy over a signature Rodtang claimed was forged, which ONE Championship believes has harmed its reputation.
Recently, Kaensak Sor Ploenchit, a Muay Thai legend and former Lumpinee–Rajadamnern champion, posted advice urging Rodtang to directly talk with “Boss Chatri” – Chatri Sityodtong, CEO and chairman of ONE Championship – to clear up all issues.
“If I were Rodtang, I would speak directly with Chatri. Whatever is right or wrong, we can make concessions. A boat just launched; the tiger just entered the forest. ONE can survive without Rodtang, but can Rodtang survive without ONE? What about his family’s livelihood? Justice doesn’t put food on the table; what’s the use of it?”
“Rodtang seems to be at a disadvantage, but if you weigh the situation, we can still make a lot of money within this organization, so it’s better to be lenient. No one has helped us more than ourselves. Use your mind wisely, little brother. I want to see you continue to shine in this organization!” Kaensak stated.
