Tank Jitmuangnon's nutritionist confirms the weight cut is achievable, revealing a secret to lose 4 kilograms in 4 days.
On 21 April 2026, Tank Jitmuangnon is preparing to fight Takeru Segawa in a flyweight kickboxing bout for the interim world title at ONE Samarai 1 on 29 April in Japan.
One concern among fight fans has been Tank's training due to previous controversies with ONE, but recently there appears to be a positive resolution.
Tank Jitmuangnon said, “My condition is improving steadily. I've been talking with my nutritionist Peter all the time. Right now I weigh 65 kilograms, which is 4 kilograms over the limit.”
Peter Miller, Tank’s nutritionist, previously posted about the plan to help Tank lose 4 kilograms in 4 days for ONE 172, the first Tank vs. Takeru fight.
The diet includes: 1. 4-6 boiled eggs per day, 2. 300 grams of tuna sashimi, 3. 300 grams of salmon sashimi.
Training involves: 1. 45-60 minutes of mitt work, 2. 20-30 minutes of treadmill running.
Sugar-free soda was given as a reward during the week before the fight.
All these measures allowed Tank to make weight 90 minutes ahead of schedule. It was one of the smoothest pre-fight weeks I've been involved with Tank Jitmuangnon.
