“Khaosai” Analyzes What “Rodtang” Must Watch Out for Against “Takeru” in ONE SAMURAI 1 (Video)

“Khaosai" warns “Rodtang" not to be complacent! He analyzes the highly anticipated rematch against "Takeru," pointing out that "drama" may have led to less than full training commitment.

On 24 April 2026, the boxing world was abuzz as Khaosai Galaxy (Sura Saenkham), the legendary world champion and beloved Thai fighter nicknamed "The Left Hook Piercer," came forward to analyze the eagerly awaited rematch between “Rodtang Jitmuangnon" and Japanese superstar “Takeru Segawa". The bout, part of ONE Samurai 1, is set to ignite excitement on 29 April 2026 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

Khaosai acknowledged that although Rodtang had knocked out Takeru in the first round of their initial fight (in March 2025), the circumstances of this upcoming match are completely different.

Regarding mental state and training, Khaosai noted that in the 20 days leading up to the fight, Rodtang faced a storm of drama (including contract issues with ONE and personal matters) which might have prevented him from training at full capacity. "I must say this time he might not be at 100 percent. The preparation, which requires maximum physical and mental effort, is a concern," he explained.

Although Rodtang isn’t afraid since he has already won, that first-round knockout could be a double-edged sword; a moment’s complacency could lead to a mistake. Fighting in Japan, his opponent’s home ground, might give Takeru a psychological edge, so Rodtang must use his experience to control the fight well.

On the Japanese challenger, Khaosai sees him as the most dangerous opponent currently because Takeru has no distractions during training. This fight is announced as his "farewell match," so he is expected to give his all to claim the ONE World Championship title on home soil before retiring.

Takeru is a tough fighter who cannot be underestimated, but having learned from his previous defeat, Khaosai warned, "He may come back more advanced this time. With a purse of 30-35 million baht, he has strong motivation to prepare thoroughly."

Khaosai refused to "predict" the fight’s outcome, seeing all three results as possible because it is a five-round bout with the ONE World Flyweight Kickboxing Championship belt at stake.

“I don’t want to make a prediction, but I encourage everyone to enjoy the fight. Rodtang must not be complacent; use your experience and proven punches to win. I hope he brings the championship back to Thailand for his future and savings after retirement,” he concluded.
