"Saengpanom" and "Thailand" advanced to the final 8, with the unveiling of the 8 warriors for the 25th True Muay Thai Tiger Cement Tournament.
The 25th True Muay Thai Tiger Cement Tournament took place at Channel 7 HD Boxing Stadium on 26 April. This was the third match in the round of 16 for groups C and D. Before the fights, Mr. Piyakorn Chinarattanakul from the Products and Building Materials Company Limited (Tiger Cement representative), along with Mr. Jomorn Lekakul (also representing Tiger Cement), honored the occasion by presenting garlands to encourage the fighters in two bouts: Charito Lanna Waterbike versus Saengpanom Phadungchai Muay Thai Gym at 116 pounds in group C, and Thailand S. Rungsak versus Yodpet P.K. Sia Tom Auto Parts at 116 pounds in group D. Both fights were fierce, creating an exciting atmosphere with Thai and international fans cheering enthusiastically around the ring.
In the first bout, Charito Lanna Waterbike Muay Thai Gym faced Saengpanom Phadungchai Muay Thai Gym; both are southpaw fighters. The loser would be immediately eliminated, with the winner advancing to the top 8. Saengpanom pressed forward, delivering left kicks to the ribs, clinching, and striking repeatedly. Charito, who is shorter, tried to counter with punches and left kicks but was less effective. Saengpanom’s clear left kicks to the body and clinch strikes with knees wore Charito down, despite Charito's attempts with punches and elbows that only posed a threat but did not dominate. Saengpanom also displayed skilled footwork and left kicks, gradually draining Charito’s energy. After the full rounds, Saengpanom won by points and advanced to the top 8, while Charito was eliminated.
In the second bout, Thailand S. Rungsak faced Yodpet P.K. Sia Tom Auto Parts; both are southpaws. The loser would be eliminated, and the winner would move to the top 8. Thailand advanced with front leg kicks followed by punches. Yodpet tried left kicks but missed, then attempted to clinch and deliver strong knee strikes. Thailand countered effectively with punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, visibly stunning Yodpet. After the rounds, Thailand won by points and advanced to the top 8, while Yodpet was eliminated.
After the matches, a draw ceremony was held to determine the quarterfinal matchups for the 25th True Muay Thai Tiger Cement Tournament. Mr. Piyakorn Chinarattanakul from the Products and Building Materials Company Limited (Tiger Cement representative), along with Mr. Peeraphong Theeradejphong (Chun Kiatpetch), promoter of Muay Thai on Channel 7, jointly conducted and witnessed the draw.
The quarterfinal draw results scheduled for 24 May 2026 are: Match 1, Group A: Yodkan Chang Nakhon Si versus Mon Khao Cement Dee; Match 2, Group B: Saengpanom Phadungchai Muay Thai Gym versus Hasadee Teenoi Kachin.
