"Takeru" has made his latest move ahead of the rematch with "Rodtang" at ONE Samurai 1.
On 27 April 2026, Japanese superstar fighter Takeru Segawa revealed his latest update ahead of his rematch against Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE Samurai 1, set for the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, on Wednesday, 29 April at 12:30 p.m.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, 28 April 2026) is the official weigh-in day before the fight, where the bout between Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Takeru Segawa will be for the interim ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Championship.
Takeru, aged 34, has consistently vowed to take revenge after being knocked out by Rodtang in the first round at 1 minute 20 seconds during ONE 172 in Thailand on 23 March 2025.
Recently, Takeru, who will face Rodtang before retiring perfectly in the main event of ONE Samurai 1, posted a photo of himself training hard ahead of tomorrow's weigh-in, showing he is in peak physical condition.
Takeru also captioned, "Tomorrow is weigh-in day. The support from everyone has allowed me to prepare both my body and mind to the fullest."
"On 29 April, I will show everyone the best version of Takeru in my fighting career, and I will definitely win."
Meanwhile, Rodtang Jitmuangnon is confident he will make weight despite reports today that he is still over by more than 1 kilogram, trusting his team to handle it without issues and ready to face Takeru for sure.
