Heated Exchange Between "Rodtang" and "Takeru" Before ONE Samurai 1 Showdown (Video)
On 28 April 2026, Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Takeru Segawa, the two fighters headlining ONE Samurai 1 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, faced off for the final time during the official weigh-in and face-off event before a lively media audience ahead of their fight on Wednesday, 29 April.
Takeru stepped onto the scales first, hitting 134 pounds, comfortably making the limit, followed by Rodtang Jitmuangnon who weighed in at 134.8 pounds. Both are set to compete for the interim ONE Kickboxing Flyweight World Championship belt.
They then engaged in a tense face-off, pressing foreheads as intensely as they had at last week's press conference. The host then invited them to speak about their opponent ahead of their rematch tomorrow, starting at 12:30 p.m.
Rodtang said of Takeru, "I'm glad to be the last opponent in his fighting career. Of course, I will do my very best tomorrow and I definitely want to win on the night of 29 April."
Takeru immediately responded to Rodtang, "This is my final fight, and I repeat that I will definitely beat Rodtang tomorrow."
Takeru Segawa, 34, seeks to avenge his loss to Rodtang Jitmuangnon to close his fighting career. He was previously knocked out in the first round at 1 minute 20 seconds during ONE 172 in Thailand on 23 March 2025.
