First response comes for 'Rodtang' after knockout loss to Takeru, missing interim ONE world title.
On 29 April 2026, Boy Thaprachan, a renowned amulet expert and close senior to Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the top Thai fighter, immediately spoke out after the fight against Takeru Segawa in the main event of ONE Samurai 1 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.
This bout was for the interim ONE World Flyweight Kickboxing Championship. Rodtang Jitmuangnon was overcome by the strength of his old rival, Japanese fighter Takeru Segawa. Rodtang was knocked down three times before losing by knockout at 2:22 in the fifth round, missing the interim ONE World Flyweight Kickboxing title.
After the match, Boy Thaprachan posted about Rodtang Jitmuangnon, saying, "Rodtang lost, but we are always supporting you, brother. Come back and face us again."
He then continued posting to Rodtang, "Even though you lost, I’m still giving you a 100,000 baht bonus. #SeeYouBrother"
