On 29 April 2026, after Rothang Jitmuangnon was knocked out in the fifth round by Takeru Sekigawa in the flyweight kickboxing match at ONE SAMURAI 1.
"Bangya," Rothang’s trainer, told Thairath Sport News, "The turning point in this fight was when he got a count, which put pressure on the fight and forced him to push harder to recover. I must commend Takeru; he was really on top form today."
"A loss is a loss. Today, Takeru fought with all his heart. Rothang gave his best. I send my encouragement to Rothang, my brother-in-law, to keep fighting. I will always stand by his side."
