On 7 May 2026 GMT+7, after Superbon from Superbon Training Camp withdrew from his featherweight kickboxing world title defense against Chinese kickboxer Liu Meng Yang scheduled for The Inter Circle event on 22 May, citing injury as the reason.
As a result, Liu Meng Yang will now face Gabriel Pereira instead, with no championship belt at stake.
Liu Meng Yang posted a video about the situation: "I just finished training and received very bad news—Superbon has withdrawn from the competition suddenly, with only two weeks left. I don't know whether to say you're scared or really injured. You are not worthy of being a Muay Thai champion. You're old and afraid to fight. I feel sorry for you.
