"Thailand - Pornpetch" delivered a strong performance to secure victory in the first match of the top 8 round of the 25th True Muay Thai Tiger Cement Tournament.
The 25th True Muay Thai Tiger Cement Tournament took place at Channel 7HD Stadium on 30 May. This was the first match of the top 8 round in bracket B. Before the fights, Mr. Somyot Arunmat, Deputy Director of Channel 7 Boxing Stadium, honored the fighters by placing garlands around their necks for encouragement. The first bout featured Muangchang S. Dechapant (red corner) against Thailand S. Rungsak (blue corner), both weighing 116 pounds. The second bout was between Pornpetch S. Rajabum (red corner) and Saengthongnoi Saengthong Gas (blue corner), also at 116 pounds.
In the first fight, Muangchang S. Dechapant faced Thailand S. Rungsak. Muangchang had previously suffered a knockout defeat, making this match a chance for redemption. The bout was competitive, with both fighters exchanging strikes. By the third round, Muangchang pressed forward more aggressively, but Thailand countered effectively with kicks and punches. In the fourth round, Muangchang engaged in close clinch fighting, but Thailand responded with left kicks and elbows in fierce exchanges. Muangchang confidently threw punches first and then exchanged strikes. In the final round, Muangchang attacked immediately in clinches, pushing Thailand down. Thailand rose, returned with kicks, then controlled the pace. After five rounds, the referee raised the hand of Thailand S. Rungsak as the winner by points.
In the second bout, Pornpetch Topfreight Gym fought Saengthongnoi Saengthong Gas. The match was intense. Pornpetch moved in focusing on powerful punches, while Saengthongnoi adopted a defensive, skillful style. Pornpetch's punches targeted both high and low areas dangerously. In the third round, Saengthongnoi attempted knee strikes and stepped back, preparing a right kick. In the fourth round, Pornpetch maintained pressure, focusing on punches continuously, causing Saengthongnoi to falter, though the referee did not count a knockdown. Pornpetch dominated more clearly and landed a straight right punch fully on Saengthongnoi's chin, winning by knockout in the fourth round.
Regarding the 25th True Muay Thai Tiger Cement Tournament, bracket A and B will hold the second top 8 round matches. In bracket A, the first fight will be Monkhaw Cement D versus Hasadee Teenoi Kachin, both at 116 pounds. The second fight will be Yodkan Chang Nakhon Si versus Saengphan Phadungchai Muay Thai Gym, also at 116 pounds. These matches are scheduled for 28 June 2026.
In bracket B, the first fight will be Thailand S. Rungsak versus Pornpetch Topfreight Gym at 116 pounds, and the second fight will be Muangchang S. Dechapant versus Saengthongnoi Saengthong Gas at 116 pounds. These will take place on 5 July 2026.
