Urgent: "Rodtang" is preparing his final press conference, leaving a cliffhanger about starting a new chapter even greater than before.
On 22 July 2026, Rodtang Jitmuangnon, the famous Thai boxer, made a recent move on social media announcing he will hold his final press conference on his birthday.
"Tomorrow is my birthday. I choose to make this announcement. Some journeys don't end when contracts expire but may be starting a greater new chapter. The future... we must wait for answers at the right time."
"Tomorrow, I invite all boxing brothers and the media to join me at Jitmuangnon Boxing Camp at 9:00 a.m. I will hold my final press conference."
"Thank you all."
On 14 April, ONE Championship announced it had filed a lawsuit against Rodtang Jitmuangnon for breaching contract terms in Thailand, Singapore, and Japan, affirming they had worked together in good faith but, due to repeated contract violations, had to take appropriate and decisive action to protect all parties involved.
Subsequently, both parties held a joint press conference that seemed to resolve the conflict. However, on 22 April, Big Plai Jitinart Asdamongkol, President of ONE Thailand, clarified that negotiations were not yet concluded but showed promising progress toward a fair and suitable resolution for everyone.
Meanwhile, Rodtang Jitmuangnon was scheduled to fight Takeru Segawa, his old Japanese rival, at ONE Samurai 1 in Japan for the interim ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Championship belt on 29 April, before Rodtang lost by knockout in the fifth round.
