Urgent: ONE boxer was hit by a van while running practice and has been taken to hospital.
On 15 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Sam Khok Police received a report of a van hitting a person causing injury on Prem Canal Road, Chiang Rak Noi Subdistrict, Sam Khok District, Pathum Thani Province.
At the scene, officers found the injured man lying still, wearing a black sleeveless T-shirt and white boxing shorts. They provided first aid and rushed him to Sam Khok Hospital. He was later identified as Suriyan Thiennok, 29, better known as Suriyan Lek P. Yenying, a famous Thai boxer who competes in ONE events.
A fellow boxer running with him said there were three of them training there when a van approached from behind and struck Suriyan Lek, throwing him off the road and sliding over 20 meters. They quickly assisted him and called police and rescue services for help.
Police questioned the van driver, who was charged with reckless driving causing injury. The driver apologized, stating he tried to avoid the accident but failed and denied being under the influence of alcohol.
