"Prajanchai" appeals to organizers to let him fight every three months after losing to the Chinese fighter, stating that one fight per year is too infrequent.
Following Prajanchai Pongsuphan PK's return to the ring after more than a year, he lost by a split decision, 1-2, to Wang Zhungkuang from China in the strawweight kickboxing match at ONE The Inner Circle 35 held at Lumpinee Stadium.
Recently, Prajanchai gave an interview pleading with the organizers to allow him to fight every three months rather than just once a year as it is currently.
Prajanchai said, "If possible, I would like to fight every three months. In 2024, I fought at the end of the year against Ellis Barbosa, then at the end of 2025 against Jonathan Di Bella. I lost the strawweight kickboxing title and then this fight — so in 2026, I only had one fight. That means in two years, I fought only twice."
"As I said, no matter how skilled you are, if you find yourself in this position in ONE Championship, it's not an easy fight. Only top fighters are selected and contracted. Everyone is tough. If we stop for too long, it also exhausts us."
This recent loss marks Prajanchai’s first time suffering two consecutive defeats in the ONE Championship competition.
