A mission not to be missed!!
The ASEAN Women's Futsal Championship 2026 in Korat has confirmed the four teams advancing to the semifinals.
The matches will take place on Saturday, 28 February 2026 GMT+7 at Terminal Hall, Terminal 21 shopping mall in Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima province.
The first semifinal features the Australian women's futsal team, making their debut in this tournament and having won Group B, facing Indonesia at 3:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, our Thai women's futsal team, champions of Group A, face a tough challenge against defending champions Vietnam at 6:30 p.m.
TrueVisions Now will broadcast both matches live in full for viewers.
As hosts, the Chaba Kaew futsal team is determined to claim the ASEAN championship title for the first time.
Two years ago, they narrowly missed out, losing 1-2 in overtime to the Vietnamese team in the final.
It was a painful miss of history as the first nation to win the ASEAN women's futsal championship, especially since Thailand had beaten Vietnam earlier in the group stage.
At the same time, the Thai women's futsal team, who qualified for the Women's Futsal World Cup last year, lost form and missed out on the SEA Games gold medal at home.
They lost on penalties to Indonesia in the semifinals and settled for bronze.
Indonesia, meanwhile, fell to Vietnam in the final.
This allowed the Vietnamese women's futsal team to claim the SEA Games gold medal on Thai soil in a grand fashion.
This has become a lingering frustration for the Thai team, awaiting a chance to prove themselves.
To show that their current top ASEAN world ranking is more than just a number.
Therefore, the preparation plan for this Thai women's futsal team, led by “Big Pom” Adisak Benjasiriwan,
must be done with utmost care and precision.
Past weaknesses and mistakes in previous tournaments have been analyzed and addressed,
with all gaps plugged specifically for this event.
This is a collaboration between “Coach O” Thanathorn Santanaprasit, the team's head coach,
and “Coach Mee” Rakpol Sainet, the men's national futsal head coach, who has fully joined to assist in training.
Both previously succeeded together by leading Bluewave Chonburi to the Asian championship title in 2017.
Their coaching style, inspired by “Coach Pulpis,” has deeply transmitted futsal expertise.
Their results are already evident with two impressive wins in the group stage.
They avenged their earlier loss by beating Indonesia 3-0, then thoroughly defeated Malaysia 8-0.
Overall, they outscored opponents by 11 goals without conceding any.
The players all showed confidence and hunger to perform on the court.
Scoring was shared among captain Darika Pianpailun, Jenjira Bubpha, Praeploy Huajaipetch,
and “Chompoo” Areeya Saeteun, dubbed the “Futsal Witch of Thailand.”
Also contributing were Suchanat Nakmai, Sangravee Meekham, and Panwasa Kingthong.
The next challenge for Thailand is to get past the Vietnamese women's futsal team in the semifinals.
Although Vietnam is ranked lower in the world,
the Vietnamese team has achieved tangible success over the past two to three years.
They are the 2024 ASEAN champions and the 2026 SEA Games champions as of late last year.
Therefore, the key goal for Thailand's women's futsal team is to overcome Vietnam
and secure a spot in the ASEAN final.
Give it your all, hit with full force, this Saturday.
Remember, this is a mission we absolutely cannot afford to miss.
Playing at home, if we slip up again,
we will be the ones trailing the “Golden Star” team
without any excuse whatsoever!!!
