On 12 April 2026 GMT+7, Thailand's men's national futsal team faced Indonesia in the final of the 2026 ASEAN Championship. This was a rematch of the 2025 SEA Games final, where the "Little War Elephants" suffered a disappointing 1-5 loss, missing out on the gold medal.
In this match, coach Rakphon Sainetngam, known as "Coach Bear," selected the starting five: goalkeeper Theerawat Kaewwilai, captain Itthicha Praphapan, Panus Kittipanwong, Apiwat Jamcharoen, and Muhammad Usman Musa.
At the 16th minute, Indonesia took the lead 1-0 through Andres Putra.
At the 20th minute, Thailand equalized 1-1 with a penalty scored by Itthicha Praphapan.
At the 31st minute, Thailand took the lead 2-1 thanks to Panus Kittipanwong.
No further goals were scored in the remaining time, and the match ended with Thailand defeating Indonesia 2-1. This victory secured Thailand's 17th ASEAN futsal championship title.
