"Rakphol Sainetngam," coach of the Thailand national futsal team, has taken action by offering free coaching sessions to children, emphasizing the philosophy that "fundamentals are key."
On 25 Apr 2026 GMT+7, "Coach Bear" Rakphol Sainetngam, head coach of Thailand's national futsal team known as the "War Elephants," began volunteering free futsal coaching for children, highlighting the philosophy "fundamentals are key." Previously, he announced on social media his willingness to travel to various schools to teach football and futsal free of charge as a form of outreach and volunteerism.
"Coach Bear" Rakphol Sainetngam set simple conditions: the coaching sessions must be scheduled on convenient days (Monday to Friday), and only travel fuel expenses are requested. Interested parties can contact him via inbox messages. He plans to start in Bangkok and the surrounding metropolitan area before expanding to other provinces. Shortly after, he put this into practice by traveling to coach futsal at Triam Udom Samut Prakan School and posted his gratitude to the school for the opportunity.
Coach Bear's philosophy is clear — "fundamentals are key." Instilling skills and a love for the sport from the grassroots level forms the foundation for sustainable development of Thailand's futsal scene. This exemplifies a national-level coach who doesn’t wait for requests but proactively reaches out to children, driven by a desire to see Thai youth build strong fundamentals and grow into vital contributors to the nation’s sports future.
