Reignwood Group and Reignwood Foundation (Thailand) are fully committed to ongoing youth sports development, inviting table tennis fans to attend and support Thai children competing in the “2025 Thailand–China Friendship Youth Table Tennis Championship” celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China on 6-7 December at the gymnasium of KIS International School Reignwood Park.
Ms. Woraponit Ruayrungrueng, CEO of Reignwood Group, said Reignwood Group and Reignwood Foundation (Thailand) are among the main organizers and sponsors of the “2025 Thailand–China Friendship Youth Table Tennis Championship,” commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. The event serves as a platform to strengthen ties between the two countries through youth table tennis within the quality community area of Reignwood Park project in Pathum Thani Province.
The competition will be held on 6-7 December 2025 at the gymnasium of KIS International School Reignwood Park, equipped to international standards. It is supported by Reignwood Culture Foundation Beijing, the Table Tennis Association of Thailand (TTAT), Shaanxi Sports Group, and KIS International School, jointly ensuring the event’s success.
This year, Reignwood Park project will welcome young athletes from Thailand and China competing in the event. The Chinese teams come from key cities Wuhan and Xi’an, selected from over 600 youths down to the final 25 players.
Meanwhile, Thailand is sending its 2025 national youth team to compete. The tournament will be held at KIS International School Reignwood Park’s internationally certified gymnasium, which supports the venue, facilities, and youth skill development activities. This platform not only hosts an international competition but also provides a new learning environment inspiring youth from both nations to build strong relationships together.
From Reignwood’s perspective, the success of this competition reflects the value of cooperation in driving the creative energy of the new generation of youth.
Ms. Woraponit Ruayrungrueng added that Reignwood Group and its Foundation are steadfast in supporting social and youth activities. This competition was created with the intention to use sports as a universal language to connect Thai and Chinese youth.
This year, 25 youth representatives from each country will participate. A special match features “Tip” Orawan Paranang, Thailand’s number one and 34th in the world in 2024, against Fan Siqi, the national women’s champion and ranked 36th globally in 2025.
In addition to the competition, there will be an exhibition titled “Table Tennis Passes on Friendship, Joining Hands for the Future,” showcasing historical photos of Thai-Chinese table tennis friendship for attendees to enjoy.
There will also be community service activities donating 10 sets of table tennis tables and equipment to schools in Pathum Thani Province. We are proud to use Reignwood Park as a lasting friendship platform aligned with the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and President Xi Jinping’s call to “promote cultural exchanges and openness in youth sports,” concretely building a Thai-Chinese community with a shared future.
Reignwood believes youth are the heart of national development, and sports beautifully cultivate discipline, courage, and mutual respect. Opening Reignwood Park to welcome youth from both countries is a key opportunity to support them in overcoming limits and gaining valuable growth experiences. Reignwood is proud to help forge warm, enduring friendship between two cultures and to showcase the project as a global lifestyle hub blending sports, education, and culture harmoniously.
The “2025 Thailand–China Friendship Youth Table Tennis Championship” also offers viewers a shared historical experience via the exhibition “History of China-Thailand Table Tennis Exchanges” held alongside the competition. It presents accessible contemporary perspectives and is broadcast live in real time on Thai and Chinese YouTube channels as well as online platforms of Reignwood Park, Reignwood Group, and Reignwood Foundation, allowing viewers worldwide to fully participate in the event.
