Deciding the Asian Championship: Nakarin Leads Honda in Pursuit of the 2025 Asia Road Racing Top Class Title

The fate of the Asian championship rests with "Nakarin Athirathpuwaphat," who leads Honda in pursuit of the 2025 Asia Road Racing Championship's top class annual title at the sixth and final round, December 5-7, 2025,.


Updates on the speed battle for the Asian title, FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2025 final round 6, scheduled for 5-7 December 2025 at Chang International Circuit: “Chip” Nakarin Athirathpuwaphat, a Thai rider from “Honda Racing Thailand” is ready to pursue a historic home-race triumph in the top Asia Superbike 1000cc class, with the opportunity to become the first Thai team to make history on the Asian stage, led by their front-runner in the championship hunt.

The Asia Superbike 1000cc class, the series’ top category, gathers leading riders from the World Championship to compete fiercely this season. “Honda Racing Thailand” is competing with a fully Thai team of racers and mechanics for the first time. Star rider “Chip” Nakarin Athirathpuwaphat, number 41, and his top race bike have delivered strong performances across the first five rounds held at premier Asian circuits, currently leading the championship standings with 152 points, just 4 points ahead of second place.

The final round, a home race for the Thai team and rider, will be “Chip” Nakarin Athirathpuwaphat’s chance to battle his rivals and claim a historic championship for Thai speed fans. This season, Honda also competed in the Moto2 All Japan Championship and the Suzuka 8 Hours to gain experience and elevate competitive potential, resulting in strong performances this Asia Road Racing season. At the first round in Thailand, the entertaining star rider “Chip” Nakarin Athirathpuwaphat claimed victory in both races.

In the Supersport 600cc class, three rising stars are competing to gain experience on the Asian championship stage as a stepping stone to develop Thai riders. “Mix” Thanat Laongpliu, number 31, is ranked in the top 9 with 82 points. Following him is “Hypek” Krisada Thanachot, number 18, who achieved a second-place podium finish in Indonesia and has accumulated 65 points, currently 11th. Meanwhile, “Khao Klong” Jakriphat Pruthisarn, number 20, has recovered from early-season injuries and returned to consistent racing, holding 15th place with 29 points.

Another highlight of the final round is the Asia Production 250 (AP250) class. “Honda Racing Thailand” supports young Thai riders by providing ongoing opportunities and experience, fielding “Oom” Nopparutpong Boonpravet and “Fer” Panjaruj Jitvirunchat, number 12, who compete with wild card entries.

The FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2025 final round 6 is scheduled to hold practice sessions on Friday, December 5, followed by qualifying to determine the starting grid and Race 1 on Saturday, December 6, and Race 2 on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province.
