SEA Games 2025 football result: Thailand national team beats Timor-Leste, with Yotsakorn Burapha scoring a hat-trick.
On 3 Dec 2025, the 33rd SEA Games men's football opening match of Group A featured the under-23 teams of Timor-Leste and Thailand at Rajamangala National Stadium at 19:00, broadcast live on ONE 31 and TrueVisions NOW.
In the first half, Thailand waited until the 44th minute to take the lead 1-0 when Thanakrit Chotmuangpak’s short corner found Yotsakorn Burapha, who headed the ball into the net. The score remained at halftime.
Early in the second half, at the 49th minute, Thailand extended their lead to 2-0 when General Maneekorn crossed to Siraphop Wandi, who headed the ball home.
At the 60th minute, Thailand went further ahead 3-0 following a run by Iklas Sanron, who struck a powerful left-footed shot that goalkeeper Rodriguez Pereira deflected into the goal.
In the 71st minute, Thailand led 4-0 when Khokana Kamyok delivered a cross to Yotsakorn Burapha, who scored his second goal with a header.
One minute later, at 72, Yotsakorn Burapha showed great effort to intercept the ball, then dribbled forward and scored with his left foot, completing his hat-trick for the match.
At the 83rd minute, Thailand extended their lead to 6-0 as Thanawut Phochai threaded a through ball to Khokana Kamyok, who finished with a goal.
In injury time, Timor-Leste scored a consolation goal through Palomito Ribeiro. No further goals were scored, and the match ended with Thailand defeating Timor-Leste 6-1, securing their first three points.
