
Nakarin Athiratphuvapat delivered a blazing performance by soaring to first place in the Asia Road Racing 2025 first practice session at the final round in Buriram.
The FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2025, Round 6 and final race, took place at Chang International Circuit. In the premier class, Asia Superbike 1,000cc (ASB1000), the highlight attracting the most attention with its high-speed bikes and top-level riders, Nakarin "Chip" Athiratphuvapat, number 41, was closely watched as a strong contender for the season championship, representing Thai speed fans this season. He immediately posted a strong lap time in Practice 1, taking the lead in first place.
In Practice 2, despite challenges from rising track temperatures, the top Thai rider remained among the frontrunners with a lap time of 1:35.735, securing a top 3 spot. In Practice 3, Honda Racing Thailand focused on race strategy for the actual event held at the same time, yet maintained strong speed, finishing second with the best lap time of 1:35.745.
In the Supersport 600cc (SS600) class, The Next Successor, young Thai riders from 'Race to the Dream' improved their speed and positioned themselves among the leaders. "Mix" Thanach Laongpliu, riding Honda CBR600RR number 31, posted the best lap time in Practice 2 at 1:39.797, ranking second overall. "Khaoklong" Jakripat Pruthisan, number 20, followed as the second top Honda rookie with his best lap time of 1:40.111 in Practice 3. Meanwhile, "Hypek" Krisada Thanachot, number 18, also set his best lap time in Practice 3 at 1:40.278.
In the Asia Production 250 (AP250) class, two young Thai riders from Honda Racing Thailand received wild card entries for this race, gaining international track experience on the first practice day while immediately improving their personal performance. "Oom" Nopparutpong Boonpraves, number 20, recorded the best lap time of 1:52.438 in Practice 3. The best rank was top 3 in the first Practice 1 session. Meanwhile, "Fer" Panjaruj Jitwirunchat, number 12, posted his fastest lap time of 1:52.830 in Practice 1, placing fifth.
The FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2025 Round 6 schedule includes qualifying on Saturday morning, 6 December 2025, to determine the starting grid, followed by Race 1 in the afternoon. Race 2 will continue on Sunday, 7 December 2025, at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province.
