
The badminton women's team is the first team to reach the final, with the Thai women's badminton team defeating Singapore decisively, awaiting the 2025 SEA Games gold medal.
On 8 December 2025, the women's team badminton competition at the 33rd SEA Games “Thailand 2025” took place at Gymnasium 4, Thammasat University Rangsit Sports Center, Pathum Thani Province. The Thai national team played their first match after receiving a bye directly into the semifinals against Singapore.
In the first match, women's singles world number 6, Mew Pornpawee Chochuwong, returned to play after two months off due to injury. She defeated world number 146 Insirah Khan 2-0 games, 21-14 and 21-15, scoring the first point for Thailand, leading 1-0.
The second match featured the top-ranked women's doubles pair, Fem Supissara Paewsampran and Muna Benyapa Iamsaard, who defeated Singapore’s Jin Yu Jie and Zheng Yan Li 2-0 games as well, 21-16 and 21-10, extending Thailand's lead to 2-0.
In the third match, women's singles world number 8 Ratchanok Intanon outperformed world number 150 Lee Xin Yi Megan, winning comfortably 2-0 games, 21-8 and 21-10, closing the match with Thailand defeating Singapore 3-0.
This victory sends the Thai women's badminton team to the finals to compete for the 2025 SEA Games gold medal, awaiting the winner between Indonesia and Malaysia on Wednesday, 10 December.
