The competition schedule for the 33rd SEA Games today (12 Dec) marks the third day of events with 58 gold medals at stake. The main highlight is taekwondo sparring with five weight categories contested. The Thai taekwondo team fields a full squad led by “Yoo” Ballangk Thapthimdaeng, the reigning world champion, and “Guitar” Kamolchanok Siken, the 2023 world runner-up. The key highlight is the taekwondo sparring competition held at Fashion Island Mall, starting at 10:00. There are five weight categories contested. The Thai team fields a full lineup led by “Yoo” Ballangk Thapthimdaeng, the latest world champion in the men’s under-68 kg category, and “Guitar” Kamolchanok Siken, 2023 world runner-up in the women’s under-49 kg category. Also competing are Sirawit Mahahmad in men’s under-58 kg, Thanathorn Saejo in men’s under-80 kg, and Kanjanalak Chuenchuklin in women’s under-73 kg.
