Newin Chidchob has begun accepting urgent donations of essential supplies to be delivered directly to volunteer defense units and local militia on the frontline following increased border tensions that require immediate aid.
On 10 Dec 2025 GMT+7, tensions flared again along the Thai-Cambodian border after Cambodia violated the ceasefire agreement and attacked Thai civilians, prompting authorities to urgently evacuate residents from high-risk areas.
One widely noted response was the decision by Newin Chidchob, chairman of Buriram United Football Club, to open the Chang International Circuit, a world-class racetrack in Buriram Province, as a temporary evacuation center for affected residents.
The Chang International Circuit had previously served as an evacuation center during earlier clashes and has now been reopened immediately to accommodate those fleeing the border areas under emergency conditions.
At the same time, Newin Chidchob posted on social media an urgent request for donations of essential items to support the volunteer defense forces and frontline village security teams, stating:
“We urgently request donations of drinking water, energy drinks, instant noodles, canned fish, and canned coffee to be delivered to the volunteer defense units and frontline militia.”
Donations can be dropped off at the Chang International Circuit.
