On 10 Dec 2025 GMT+7, May Ratchanok Intanon, the world's 8th ranked women's singles badminton player, spoke after helping the Thai women's badminton team secure the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games hosted by Thailand.

The Thai national team defeated the Indonesian national team 3-1 in matches as follows:

This resulted in the Thai women's badminton team overtaking Indonesia 3-1 to claim the 2025 SEA Games gold medal, marking their 10th championship and their 7th consecutive SEA Games gold in this category since 2011 (no event held in 2013).

May Ratchanok Intanon, who will conclude her final SEA Games, said, "I feel happy and thank everyone, both those who played and those who didn't. As I said, we are one team, so credit must also go to those who didn’t compete."

"Because everyone trains together and is part of the same team, I think that’s important. Those who played today were the ones the coaching staff trusted the most. We’re happy with the decisions; in many ways, we are united, so we are pleased."
