After a long wait, Thai gymnastics secured a historic gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games.
On 11 December 2025, at the 33rd SEA Games artistic gymnastics competition held at Gymnasium 5, Thammasat University Rangsit Center, the Thai national team claimed a historic gold medal.
This achievement came from "Beam" Thikhamphon Surinthorntha, a Thai male gymnast ranked 5th in the world at the 2025 World Gymnastics Championships, who earned 14.000 points in the floor exercise event at the SEA Games.
"Beam" Thikhamphon Surinthorntha earned his first SEA Games gold medal in 2025, marking the first gold for the Thai gymnastics team in this edition and his personal debut gold after previously winning four silver and two bronze medals over four editions from 2017 to 2023.
Moreover, "Beam" Thikhamphon Surinthorntha helped Thailand secure its first men's individual gymnastics gold at the SEA Games in 10 years, the last being at the 2015 SEA Games when Rajawat Kaewpanya won gold on the pommel horse.
