
The Thai women's snooker team showed comprehensive strength, decisively defeating Indonesia 3-0 in frames, claiming the first gold medal for Thai cue sports at this SEA Games.
On 11 December 2025 GMT+7, the women's team snooker event at the 33rd SEA Games concluded at Thunderdome, Muang Thong Thani, with an outstanding performance by the Thai national women's snooker team, who crushed Indonesia 3-0 in frames without giving them a chance, securing the first gold medal for Thai snooker in this tournament.
The final match was a best-of-five frames format. Thailand fielded their strongest lineup led by Mink Saraburi (Natcharat Wongharuthai), the world number one, Mind Sakon (Panchaya Channoi), U-21 world champion, and Ploy Khon Kaen (Ploychompoo Laokiatphong), the 2024 women's amateur world champion and the 2025 professional women's Australian Open champion. Indonesia competed with Emilia Putri Rahmada and Annabella Putri Johana.
In the first frame, Mind Sakon showed clear superior precision and table control, defeating Annabella Putri Johana 80-22 to put Thailand ahead 1-0 in frames.
The second frame featured Mink Saraburi against Emilia Putri Rahmada. Although Mink faced two challenging snooker situations, she maintained her world-class standard to win the frame 83-50, extending Thailand's lead to 2-0.
In the deciding doubles frame, Ploy Khon Kaen teamed with Mink Saraburi. Ploy delivered an impeccable performance, clearing the table in one visit to defeat their opponents 116-0, sealing a comprehensive 3-0 victory for Thailand.
This flawless performance earned Mind, Ploy, and Mink the women's team snooker gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games, creating a sensation as a team that did not lose a single frame in the final. It marked the first gold medal for Thai snooker at the 2025 SEA Games.
