BamBam Comments on Violette Wautiers Live Singing Clip to Address SEA Games 2025 Opening Ceremony Singing Drama

BamBam comments on Violette Wautier posting a live singing clip to address the controversy over off-key singing at the 2025 SEA Games opening ceremony.

On 11 Dec 2025 GMT+7, a controversy arose over Violette Wautier singing off-key by 1% during the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games at Rajamangala Stadium. Violette later clarified that the organizers instructed her to lip sync 100% during the performance. Her ear monitor had no live vocal feed, so she could not hear herself singing. Believing she was syncing perfectly, she aimed to make the performance look its best. She was unaware that her live microphone was accidentally broadcast during the live stream. This incident damaged her reputation, image, dignity, profession, and dreams.

Many netizens expressed sympathy, but some did not understand the situation and commented that the crew made a cue mistake causing the off-key sound, while other singers at the event did not sing off-key.

Violette then posted a clip compiling her unedited live vocal recordings, asking, "Does this prove myself enough? It’s live."

After Violette posted the video, many people sent their support, including...BamBam Kanpimuk...the Thai K-Pop artist who commented, "P'Violette, you don’t need to prove anything. The whole world has known your talent for a long time."

Regarding the off-key singing issue, Violette further explained, "Thank you for all the support and encouragement. I want to say I’m stronger than I thought. I surprised myself. I know everything will pass. Now I’m even joking about it. For those still doubtful, I hope these clips prove it. The live singing that day doesn’t really count because I wasn’t trying to sing—I was just moving my lips."
