
Biw Puripol takes the lead, opening the top 5 Asian 100m rankings after winning gold at the 2025 SEA Games.
On 12 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the top 5 Asian men's 100m statistics were unveiled following Biw Puripol Boonsorn, Thailand’s star sprinter, who magnificently claimed gold at the 2025 SEA Games hosted by Thailand.
“Thepbiw” shattered the 10-second barrier in the men's 100m sprint by recording a time of 9.94 seconds in the qualifying round, breaking the SEA Games record previously held by Suryo Agung Wibowo of Indonesia, who ran 10.17 seconds in 2009 in Laos, before Biw won the 2025 SEA Games gold with a 10.00-second finish in the final.
With a 9.94-second time, Biw Puripol Boonsorn officially rose to third place in Asia’s all-time men’s 100m rankings.

The World Athletics Federation has officially certified that Biw Puripol broke his personal best and the Asian under-20 record, making him the fifth fastest under-20 sprinter worldwide.
