"Kratae" Sasiwimon Muangpuan beautifully secured the final gold medal in artistic gymnastics at SEA Games 2025 and gracefully announced her farewell to the Thai national team.

The artistic gymnastics competition at SEA Games 2025 took place at Gymnasium 5, Thammasat University Rangsit Sports Center. On the second day, five gold medals were contested across apparatus events: three men's and two women's. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Morinari Watanabe, President of the International Gymnastics Federation, and Lt. Sarayut Pattanasak, President of the Gymnastics Association of Thailand and SEA Games committee member overseeing the competition.

The women's floor exercise featured five competitors from Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, represented by "Kratae" Sasiwimon Muangpuan. Her main rivals came from Singapore and Indonesia.

Sasiwimon Muangpuan performed fluidly, executing every difficult move with care, including a quadruple twisting somersault, without any mistakes. The judges awarded her a high score of 13.367, earning her the gold medal. This was Thailand's second artistic gymnastics gold at these SEA Games, following Thikhamphon Surinthorntha's men's floor exercise victory.

After the competition, Sasiwimon said the gold medal was a matter of pride and dignity. It was a precious final gold before her official retirement from the Thai national team.

In the balance beam event, Sasiwimon Muangpuan fell and placed sixth. The gold medal went to Yap Kang Xian of Malaysia with 12.233 points, silver to Yap Amanda Eileen of Singapore with 12.733, and bronze to Finnegan Alleh of the Philippines with 12.467 points.

In the men's vault, gold medals were shared by Amy Muhammad Sarul of Malaysia and Cruz John Evan of the Philippines, both scoring 13.833, resulting in two golds awarded and no silver. Bronze went to Thikhamphon Surinthorntha of Thailand with 13.717 points.

On the parallel bars, gold was won by Dinh Phuong Thanh of Vietnam with 12.900 points, silver by Judah Satria Trivira of Indonesia with 12.633, and bronze by Fuka Nomura of Thailand with 12.167 points.

For the horizontal bar, gold medals were shared by Weeraphat Chuaysom and Abiyurafi of Indonesia, both scoring 13.400 points, so no silver was awarded. Bronze went to Dinh Phuong Thanh of Vietnam with 13.133 points.

On the final day of artistic gymnastics, with a total of 10 gold medals contested, Thailand secured 2 gold and 2 bronze medals, concluding the artistic gymnastics events on a high note. The rhythmic gymnastics competition will follow on 15–16 December 2025 at Gymnasium 5, Thammasat University Rangsit Sports Center.

Lt. Sarayut Pattanasak, President of the Gymnastics Association of Thailand, said that for gymnastics, there were 16 gold medals up for grabs. The association aimed for 5 golds and has already met that goal with 3 golds from artistic gymnastics plus 2 bronze medals. They are now looking forward to rhythmic gymnastics and aerobic gymnastics and remain confident they can achieve their overall targets.
