
Puripol Boonsorn easily advanced to the men's 200m final at SEA Games 2025.
On 13 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the men's 200m qualifying heats at SEA Games 2025 took place. "Biw" Puripol Boonsorn, a favorite among Thai fans who recently won gold in the 100m, competed again. The top three finishers from heats 1 and 2, plus the next two fastest runners overall, would advance to the final.
Puripol, running in lane 5, did not disappoint Thai supporters. He finished first with a time of 20.61 seconds, securing a spot in the final, though he did not surpass his personal best of 20.19 seconds. The second and third places went to athletes from Malaysia and the Philippines respectively.
In heat 2, Thawatchai Himiad finished second and also qualified for the final.
The gold medal final is scheduled to be held at 19:15.
