
The Thai golf team is set to sweep all four gold medals at the 2025 ASEAN Games hosted in Thailand at Siam Country Club Rolling Hills, Par 72, Chonburi province.
The golf competition at the 33rd ASEAN Games 2025 features four gold medals across men's team, women's team, men's individual, and women's individual categories, held from 11–14 Dec 2025 GMT+7 at Siam Country Club Rolling Hills, Par 72, Chonburi province.
In the women's team event, which counts the best two scores, Thailand is closing in on the gold. "Nad" Kritchanya Kaewpattanasuk (71), Prim Prachnakorn (70), and "Fai" Pimphisa Rungroeng collectively posted 3 under par 141, bringing their three-day total to 8 under par 424, leading second-place Singapore by 19 strokes. Indonesia holds third place with a total of 21 over par 453.
In the women's individual category, the gold medal contest is between two Thai golfers. Kritchanya added 1 under par 71 to lead at 5 under par 211 after three days, while Prim shot 2 under par 70, trailing by just 2 strokes at 3 under par 213. Third place is held by An Le Chuc from Vietnam with a total score of 3 over par 219.
Kritchanya said, "Personally, I have considered the individual category, but my main goal is to play according to the plan as best as possible." Prim shared, "Finishing with two under today was the best I could do. Overall, my game was the best; my approach shots were good, though I made some mistakes on a few holes. I'm not worried about the final round and will just do my best."
In the men's team event, counting the best three scores, the Thai team leads. "Fifa" Pongsapak Laophakdee (66), "Anfield" Prin Sarsamut (71), "Win" Thanawin Lee (71), and "Ono" Warut Boonrod (76) combined for 8 under par 208, totaling 27 under par 621 over three days. They lead Indonesia by 12 strokes, with Vietnam third at 5 under par 643.
In the men's individual category, Pongsapak Laophakdee is close to gold after posting another 6 under par 66 for the second consecutive day, totaling 19 under par 197 after three days. He leads second-place teammates Prin Sarsamut and Minh Nguyen Anh from Vietnam by 11 strokes heading into the final round.
Pongsapak said, "I played well today but there are still details I want to improve, including iron shots, game strategy, mindset, and staying present. For the final round, I will focus fully. I have a good mindset, and the score depends on myself."
The final round of golf at the 33rd ASEAN Games 2025 will take place tomorrow at Siam Country Club Rolling Hills, Par 72, Chonburi province, starting at 8:30 a.m. GMT+7.
