
Outstanding performance revealed by Thailand's national athletics team at the 2025 ASEAN Games, with a large medal haul.
On 13 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Thailand's national athletics team delivered an outstanding performance at the 33rd ASEAN Games held at Supachalasai Stadium, the National Athletics Stadium in Bangkok. After three days of competition, they have won a total of 9 gold, 9 silver, and 2 bronze medals, totaling 20 medals.
Today, Thailand's national athletics team secured 3 gold and 3 silver medals as follows: gold in women's javelin by “Ai” Jariya Wichaidit with a mark of 55.64 meters; gold in men's 5,000 meters by Kirin Tantivet in 14:46.38 minutes; and gold in men's 200 meters by “Bew” Phuripol Boonsorn with a time of 20.07 seconds.
Meanwhile, silver medals were won in women's triple jump by “May” Police Lieutenant Parinya Chueamalerng with 13.79 meters; in men's shot put by “Oum” Thongchai Silamoon with 16.80 meters; and in the mixed 4x400 meters relay team composed of Sarawut Nuansri, Benny Nontanam, Joshua Robert Atkinson, and Chineye Josephine Onuorah with a time of 3:16.56 minutes.
