Kometh rose to claim his second gold in BMX, while Sergeant Muek expressed pride in meeting their goals.

Kometh Sukprasert secured his second gold medal in BMX racing as expected, while Buddhapoom Nakpan also earned his second silver medal. Sergeant Muek revealed that the Thai cycling team fully met their objectives after collecting four gold medals in mountain biking and BMX. Road and track events remain for cycling fans to support, with the team maintaining a goal of at least six gold medals.

The 33rd SEA Games BMX cycling competition took place at Kamol Sports Park, Suwinthawong Road, Nong Chok district, Bangkok, on 13 December. One gold medal was contested in BMX racing. The event was honored by the presence of Sergeant Muek, General Decha Hemkrasri, Vice President of the Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC), President of the ASEAN Cycling Federation (ACF), and President of the Cycling Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage. Over 1,000 Thai cycling fans and association executives gathered to support the athletes.

The BMX racing event consisted of three motos, with the highest scoring athlete declared the champion. Seven riders from five nations competed, including two Thai cyclists: "Ae" Sergeant Kometh Sukprasert, a three-time Asian champion who recently won the time trial gold, and "Om" Mr. Buddhapoom Nakpan, who also earned a silver in the time trial.

The results showed "Ae" Kometh once again demonstrated outstanding skill by finishing first in all three motos, securing his second gold and successfully defending his title. "Om" Buddhapoom finished second in all three motos, earning his second silver medal in his first SEA Games. The bronze went to Patrick Bren Ku from the Philippines. Overall, the Thai BMX team took 2 golds and 2 silvers, while the Philippines earned 2 bronze medals.

After the competition, General Decha revealed that the Thai BMX team met their goal by earning two gold medals from Kometh and two silver medals from Buddhapoom. So far, the Thai cycling team has won four golds: two in mountain biking and two in BMX. The overall target remains six gold medals, with seven road cycling golds still up for grabs between 14-17 December. The first two road gold medals will be contested on 14 December in the men's team time trial and women's criterium. Additionally, five track gold medals will be contested on 18-19 December. He invited Thai people to continue supporting the cyclists to bring home as many gold medals as possible as New Year gifts.

"Ae" Kometh said he was very happy to win two gold medals as planned and thanked General Decha Hemkrasri, president of the Cycling Association, for his full support and care of the athletes. He also expressed gratitude to his family and the people of Suphanburi province, as well as his coaches, team, and Thai fans both at the venue and those who sent their support through all channels. He dedicated both BMX gold medals as gifts to all Thai people.

"Om" Buddhapoom said he was very pleased to have won two silver medals. He thanked the association president for taking good care of them, as well as his parents, all cycling fans for their encouragement, and his coaches and team members. He said he aimed to perform his best and has now succeeded.
