On 14 December 2025, the latest 2025 SEA Games medal summary was updated after the final day of badminton competition. The Thai badminton team secured two gold medals in mixed doubles and women's singles events. However, only one gold medal ceremony was officially held, for the mixed doubles pair "Title" Rutthanaphak Upton and "Jane" Choeynicha Sudjaipraparat.
It turned out that the Thai athletes, who had 95 gold medals yesterday, added 7 more today, bringing their total to 102 gold medals (counted as of 15:30 from the official website). This makes Thailand the first nation at the 2025 SEA Games to exceed 100 gold medals.
This keeps Thailand in first place, leading second-ranked Vietnam by 69 gold medals, while third-ranked Indonesia trails far behind by 71 gold medals.
