Grand Finale: Summary of All SEA Games Medals of "May Ratchanok" After Winning Women's Singles Gold in Her Last Appearance
On 14 December 2025, a summary of SEA Games medals won by May Ratchanok Intanon, Thailand's national badminton player in women's singles, was released after she beautifully closed her final competition by winning both gold medals she contested at the 2025 SEA Games hosted by Thailand.
The 2025 SEA Games badminton final took place at Gymnasium 4, Thammasat University, Rangsit Center. "May" Ratchanok Intanon, the second seed (world No. 8), faced off against "May" Supanida Katethong, the third seed (world No. 12).
May Ratchanok, relying on her superior experience and skill, decisively defeated "May Left" with scores of 21-19 and 21-7 in straight games, securing her first women's singles SEA Games gold medal.
Although throughout her career May Ratchanok Intanon has won countless badminton titles—including three World Junior Championships (2009, 2010, 2011), one World Championship (2013), an Asian Championship (2015), and 23 BWF titles at all levels—it is surprising that she had never won a SEA Games gold in women's singles before.
Ultimately, May Ratchanok perfectly concluded her SEA Games journey on home soil by winning both gold medals in the women's team and singles events, achievements she had long awaited since her first SEA Games in 2009 in Laos at just 14 years old.
